A light fixture featured in Elle Décor a few months back caught my eye and after a little research, I have fallen in love with the Mexican company Casa Midy.
The company’s founders, Jorge Almada and Anne-Marie Midy, design and create furniture, light fixtures and accessories. Casa Midy’s stated aesthetic is rustic elegance, and in my opinion their designs are a perfect representation of that concept- equal parts rustic and elegant, one never overtaking the other.
Their website also highlights beautiful spaces that the pair have designed (one of their homes was also featured in the magazine), as well as pictures of the artisans who make these pieces by hand- the soul of the company is apparent.
In an unexpected twist, Casa Midy also manages rental properties in Mexico and Paris. Breathtakingly beautiful rental properties in Mexico and Paris. These are hosted through a separate website, so click here to take a look.
I have a pulled of few of my favorite pieces from the website. I am loving all of the leather paired with metal, stitch work and hardware.
The rental homes are not inexpensive. But, from the images, worth every dime.
